The Turner is a skilled machinist who supports the engine workshop by performing maintenance and repair tasks on machinery and auxiliary systems. This role reads and interprets drawings to fabricate or repair components, operates a lathe and other workshop equipment, and assists the Staff Chief Engineer in planning and executing maintenance work. The Turner must follow safety, quality, and environmental policies and be flexible to work across shifts and respond to urgent maintenance needs as required.
