The 3rd Electrical Engineer positions responsible for preparing and executing the required maintenance for all electrical, electronic, and automation systems. This position reports to the 1st Electrical Engineer.
Employee may be required to perform any other job-related duties assigned by their supervisor, management or the Chief Engineer. All duties and responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with the Company's Safety, Quality and Environmental standards.
Position Overview
- Responsible for maintenance and repair of all electrical, electronic, and automation systems onboard.
- Reports to the 1st Electrical Engineer.
- Perform any additional job-related duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
- All activities must adhere to the Company’s Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: University or college degree, or relevant shipboard experience.
- Licenses: Valid electrician license recognized by flag state preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in electrical systems, electronics, and automation.

- Assist the Engineer Watch Officer by monitoring machinery operations in the engine room.
- Participate in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of engine room and hotel machinery.
- Support 2nd Electrical Engineer with coordination, operation, and upkeep of electrical and automation systems.
- Perform repairs with minimal supervision; read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
- Prioritize tasks effectively, even under pressure and interruptions.
