Your Purpose

Explora Journeys is a vibrant, cosmopolitan, European luxury brand, imagined in the heart of Swiss hospitality in Geneva. Leveraging our parent company MSC Group’s hundreds of years of maritime expertise, our fleet of six luxury ships (three currently in the pipeline) are being built and designed in a unique way that is redefining the cruise experience, creating a category of its own, appealing to the next generation of luxury travellers.

An exciting opportunity exists for a talented marketing leader to join our newly created luxury travel brand Explora Journeys, based in our offices in Geneva, Switzerland.

We are seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking leader and experienced people manager to act as Global Head of Brand Marketing, responsible for elevating the brand’s presence as the business scales, ensuring it remains distinctive, desirable and consistently expressed across every guest and travel advisor touchpoint, driving high-value customer acquisition and delivering personalised, high-touch engagement. This role requires an individual combining exceptional brand judgement with strong commercial acumen and operational discipline to scale a luxury hospitality business across markets.

Your Impact

• Brand Strategy
  Own and evolve the brand strategy, architecture, positioning, proposition and messaging. Balance long-term brand building with immediate commercial priorities. Translate business, product and commercial priorities into compelling brand narratives and experiences that strengthen desirability and drive guest acquisition and revenue.
• Brand Expression
  Act as the brand guardian, maintaining a distinctive visual identity, tone of voice and high editorial standard across the entire customer journey and across channels, audiences and markets, balancing global brand consistency with local relevance. Translate complex hospitality offerings into clear, emotionally engaging and commercially effective offerings.
• Creative, Content and Guest Communications
  Lead agency and production partners to deliver elevated, brand-defining work. Own the content and copy strategy and execution across all touchpoints.
• Onboard Marketing
  Ensure a consistent and elevated brand experience across all onboard touchpoints (including hospitality, entertainment, retail, spa, food & beverage, and guest services), drive brand loyalty and maximise onboard revenue.
• Social Media
  Lead a distinctive social presence that builds brand desirability and meaningful engagement, bringing the brand, experiences and destinations to life through elevated, culturally relevant and platform-native content. Use audience insights, trends and performance data to continuously optimise content and formats.
• Leadership
  - Lead, inspire and develop a high-performing team. Foster a culture of cohesiveness, agility, creativity, accountability, innovative thinking and guest obsession. Build the team, capabilities and operating model required to support rapid growth.
  - Work cross-functionally with Digital, Communications, Marketing Operations, Trade Marketing, Strategy, Product, Commercial, Revenue Management and Finance to ensure a cohesive go-to-market strategy and consistent guest and travel advisor experience.
  - Establish the right balance of internal expertise and external partner ecosystem, optimising resources for quality, efficiency and flexibility. Build a scalable network that can absorb significant increases in volume without compromising quality or delivery timings.
  - Continuously improve processes, ways of working and resource allocation to enable high-quality storytelling while increasing impact and efficiency.
• AI amplification to deliver scale and speed
  Use and champion the responsible use of Gen-AI and emerging tools to increase scale, speed and efficiency across content and communications. Combine technology with impeccable human taste and judgment to consistently meet brand standards.

Your Journey so far

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
• 15+ years of brand or marketing experience.
• Expertise in luxury brand positioning across global markets, deep understanding of affluent customer psychology, excellent storytelling skills, with a refined aesthetic sensibility. Demonstrated flexibility to adapt tone for different audiences (e.g. B2B vs B2C), different channels (e.g. Print vs Onboard marketing), ensuring local market relevance while maintaining brand integrity.
• Experienced people manager. Effectively organise teams to deliver business outcomes, identify individual strengths and align these with workstreams. Outstanding people management skills, growing individual team members. Track record of managing agencies and building effective partnerships.

Your Essentials

• Strategic and innovative critical thinker. Excellent collaboration and influencing skills, with proven ability to navigate a matrix organisation and lead multi-cultural and cross-functional teams. Structured, well organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects, thriving in a fast-paced, start-up environment. Proven ability to roll-up your sleeves and execute with excellence on the projects you will handle directly (without support from your direct reports).
• Outstanding command of English. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proven analytical skills with proficiency in business and marketing KPIs, tools and platforms.
• Proven experience prompting AI tools and creating agents to support ideation, content creation, writing and editing, while keeping strong creative and editorial judgment over the final outcome. Familiarity with GEO & SEO principles. Self-learner, continuously testing and learning with creative technologies and AI-assisted workflows.
• A genuine appreciation for luxury hospitality, travel experiences, and high-end service culture. Passion and curiosity to continuously learn about the ever evolving and luxury travel industry.
